own doctor, every time.

own care. Dr. Davis believes in providing education about
pros and cons of tests and treatments, allowing you to make decisions

- Minimal time spent waiting. Appointments
start and end on time since you can choose how much time you
need.
- Appointments are longer than usual (30-60
minutes) to allow time
for more than one concern to be addressed. All of that time is
spent with your doctor, not an assistant.
- You will not have to discuss sensitive issues in
front of others in the reception room as check-in and check-out
procedures can be handled in the privacy of an exam room.
- Direct access by phone and email to your own doctor
(and potentially texting and instant messaging for non-secure
issues). If you get voicemail it means Dr. Davis is busy with
another patient, but you will be called back very soon.
- During the week, appointments for acute and
follow-up care will usually be available the same or next business
day. You can schedule your own appointment from the web-site.
- After-hours advice for urgent issues will be given
directly by Dr. Davis, reachable through the office or cell
phone. There is a pager for back up since cell phone service is
not always reliable. Dr. Davis does not use an answering service
or cross-coverage by other physicians unless completely unvailable (due
to illness, airplane flight, etc).
- Non-secure email is available for appointment
requests and simple questions. Secure email and online visits for
medical issues are available as well.
- Technology to access on-line
medical references as needed during our office consultations.
- The practice will be using an electronic medical
record for a paperless system (no chart to lose!).
- Each patient can be given an electronic copy of
their medical history and physical examination upon request.
- You don’t have to assume your tests were
normal. You should always expect to hear your test results
promptly. If you don’t, please inform Dr. Davis so she can search
them out for you.
- Home visits or after-hours office visits are
available when medically indicated.
- Emphasis on wellness and prevention with a
personalized Wellness Plan for each patient.
- Out-of-town guests (family or friends) of practice
members may be seen for urgent medical problems without being charged
the practice membership fee.
- Today's work gets done today.
